Reflecting on Research Questions and
Literature Review
1. Introduction
Inclusive education has dominated South African educational policy because
it is all about giving every learner a chance to learn regardless of the variation
in his or her learning needs. This study looks into the adoption of the inclusive
education policies at the primary schools in South Africa and how the teaching
staff perceive the practice of inclusion and how they practice it in their
classrooms. The research questions look into the issue of difficulties or
triumphs in the policy implementation to practice and how the learner diversity
is handled within the mainstream setting. My review of the literature revealed
that the reasons describing what goes on to fulfill inclusive education are
based on the contextual factors that include presence of prepared teacher,
school resources and social attitudes. In this assignment, the author presents
a description of the research paradigm forming the basis of the study as well
as discusses the theoretical and conceptual frameworks to be used in data
