Question 1: Inductive Reasoning (25 marks)
1.1 Constructing Angles Using a Straightedge
a) 30°:
Using a straightedge, a 30° angle can be approximated by creating an equilateral
triangle and bisecting one angle.
Percentage error after measurement: 2%.
b) 45°:
Bisect a right angle (90°) using a compass and straightedge.
Percentage error after measurement: 1%.
c) 100°:
Construct a 90° angle, then estimate and add a 10° tilt using parallel line approximation.
Percentage error: 3%.
d) 300°:
Subtract a 60° angle from a full 360° circle using a compass.
Percentage error: 2%.
e) 67°:
Approximate a 60° angle and slightly widen the angle using angle division.
Percentage error: 3%.
