adequately meets most of the client’s requirements:

Introduction:

Recently, my manager has been branching out into the IT support and
management market and has been providing outsourced IT support to
local businesses. I have been asked by my manager to develop a
management plan for a office company that has signed up for outsourced
support. Within the IT support and management plan I create, I will be
covering the following:

1: Network diagram plan: A network diagram plan including location of
office furniture, IT equipment and cabling: The network diagram will show
the 2 floors within the company such as ground floor and 1st floor, and will
also show all the IT equipment and devices around the premises in a
diagram such as the 30 PC’s and printers which are two of the client
requirements which need to be met adequately.

2: A Incidient response plan : Incident reponse plan will ensure that if
there is an incident, how this incidient will be responded to and what the
measures will be in order to handle the incidient that has occurred.

3: A disaster recovery plan: The disaster recovery plan will allow me and
the company to know if a disaster does occur, how long it will take to be
able for the company to start back up and continue their company and
how data will be recovered after an incident etc.

4: Capacity planning : I will also be creating a capacity plan, this will allow
the company to know that is have sufficient hardware and software in
place, which will not only highly benefit the company in the current time
frame, but also to support the company in the future if there is growth
within the companies demands.

5: Sustainability and environmental waste planning : The sustainability
and environmental planning will allow me and the company to be able to
see whether the new plan which has been created for example the
network diagram, is sustainable and environmentally friendly or not.

6: Security planning : Lastly, I will be creating a security plan which will
allow me to discuss security needs and how security will be developed
within the company to prevent incidients from occurring such as viruses
being inserted onto devices etc.

, Scope and purpose of this plan:

The purpose of the plan that I will be creating, is it will be a support plan
which will help the office company to be able to support and manage a
new IT system which they are planning to have implemented within their
company. There are a variety of requirements which need to be met
throughout this plan to successfully meet the client requirements.

Requirement 1: Desktop PC’s

The first requirement is since the company is planning to have 25 to 30
employees, all of these employees are going to need one desktop PC each
so there will need to be around 25-30 Desktop PC’s within the network
diagram to successfully meet the client requirements for the amount of
PC’s needed.

Requirement 2: Tablets

The second client requirement is that there is going to be tablets needed
for the senior staff members which will be connected by WIFI to the
companies Local Area Network (LAN). This will allow users to be able to
share data to each other and be able to gain access to the Internet.

Requirement 3: Printers

The third client requirement is that there will need to be printers within
the plan. Specifically, there is going to be 3 black and white printers
needed and two colour printers that will also be needed. All of these
printers will be shared.

Requirement 4: Operations

The system that I am creating will be needed to be available 24 hours a
day 365 days every year. In simpler words, this system will need to be
constantly running successfully without any major impacts causing
downtime.

Constraints:

Whilst developing this support plan, even though I develop it, it could
cause constraints for the company. The first constraint I am going to speak
about is financial constraints. For the devices I choose such as the PC’s
and printers, when it comes to purchasing the devices the case might be
that the company does not have the sufficient funds in order to purchase
all of the devices which are mentioned within the support plan which
could cause an issue when implementing the plan later on. Another
