The Commutative Property
When we look at the commutative property we need to remember moving
around!
The commutative property only works for addition and multiplication.
When we use the commutative property we move numbers around
into different positions to give us the same answer.
For addition:
10+5=15 and 5+10=15
As you can see, we moved the 5 and 10 around but it still gave
us the same answer.
For multiplication:
10×5=150 and 5×10=150
As you can see ,once again, we moved the 5 and 10 around
but it still gave us the same answer.
