Discuss how your beliefs, assumptions, and/or values may have influenced how you analyzed your
advertisements.
I value diversity and inclusivity; I believe that people of all different identifications and
backgrounds are just as beautiful and just as capable as the next person. So, personally, I agreed
with the messages being conveyed in these ads. I believe that people of all different body types
are beautiful and can express themselves through dance. I believe that women are just as
capable as men are in any profession, as are disabled people. I believe that people who may be
transgender or identify as any gender, whether it be the one they were assigned at birth or not,
are just as beautiful as cisgender people. It Is hard to be objective though, even though I am a
very open-minded person. For example, it was hard to just see the facts in these ads, as the
stereotyping was so obvious!
