HOMEOSTASIS
Is the tendency of living organisms to maintain a constant composition of their
internal environment within the narrow limits.
This is where internal tissue fluids are bathed.
The tissue fluids affected by the internal environment include water regulation, pH,
oxygen and carbon dioxide content, temperature and glucose concentration
All these factors have to be kept constant, and if it's not maintained, the functioning of
the body is negatively affected, and the imbalance will have to be corrected in a
process called negative feedback mechanism.
A negative feedback mechanism is the mechanism used to oppose the imbalance
when conditions in the tissue fluid rise or fall below normal
