- Intrapersonal communication is internal dialogue
- Interpersonal communication is communication between 2 or more individuals
- Small group communication: dialogue between several individuals
Organizational Communication - Refers to sharing, interpreting & processing of messages
- Found to be related to desirable outcomes
- Knowledge of organizations vision, goals, policies & procedures is essential for task execution
- Intraorganization -> goal of establishing desirable relationships between organizations

Upward, Downward, and Horizontal Communication - Downward communication involves
the stream of communication down an organizational chart, from supervisors to subordinates
- Upward communication is messages from subordinates to superiors
- Horizontal communication is when individuals or groups of similar authority transfer messages
with each other
