Submittals - Answers are NOT contract documents. Prepared by subcontractors and material suppliers,
sent to GC to review and approve them, which means the GC has varified field measurements, materials
have been checked and construction criteria has been coordinated. Then- the submittals are sent to
Designer (if the submittals are NOT checked and signed by GC, designer should immediately return them
without review). Designer reviews submittals ONLY for limited purpose of checking for conformance
with info given and correct design intent (designer is NOT responsible for accuracy of measurements,
completeness of details, verifying quantities, or checking fabrication or installation procedures). If
necessary, the submittals are forwarded (by designer) onto appropriate consultants for review. Once
