Reading – The Story of Minecraft
Minecraft is one of the most popular video games in
the world. It was created by Markus Persson, also known as
“Notch,” in 2009. He was a Swedish game developer who
started working on Minecraft in his free time. In 2011, the full
version of the game was released by Mojang, the company Notch created.
Minecraft is different from many other games. It has no set goals or levels.
Instead, players can build, explore, and survive in a world made of blocks. The
game lets people be creative and use their imagination. Over time, it became
very popular with children, teenagers, and even adults.
In 2014, Microsoft bought Mojang for $2.5 billion. Since then, Minecraft
has continued to grow. New updates, educational editions, and mobile versions
have made the game more exciting. Today, millions of players enjoy Minecraft
every day. It has become more than just a game – it’s a part of modern culture.
