, Lesson 1: My Morning Beauty Routine

Skills: Reading – Vocabulary – Grammar – Speaking – Writing
Grammar Focus: Present Simple
Phrasal Verbs: wake up, put on, wash off

1. Read the text carefully:

Every morning, I follow a simple beauty routine
before school. First, I wake up at 7 a.m. and drink a glass
of water. Then I go to the bathroom and wash my face
with a gentle cleanser. I don’t like strong products, so I
use something soft for sensitive skin. After washing my
face, I dry it with a clean towel and apply some light
moisturizer. It keeps my skin fresh and soft during the day.

Sometimes, if I have extra time, I also use a face mist or eye cream. I don’t
wear makeup to school every day, but if I have a special occasion, I put on a
little bit of mascara and lip gloss. My school has a dress code, so we are not
allowed to wear heavy makeup.

I brush my hair and choose simple clothes—usually jeans
and a T-shirt. I like wearing small earrings or a cute hair clip to
add something fun to my look. My morning routine takes
about 20–25 minutes. It helps me feel clean, confident, and
ready for the day. I believe a good routine is not about using
expensive products but about taking care of yourself.
