Task 1: Personal Leadership
A: Signature Themes Report
The Clifton Strengths ranks my five most dominant themes of talents in sequential order
as achiever, arranger, competitor, responsibility, and futuristic.
A1: Reflection on Clifton Strengths
Achiever
The first strength, being an achiever, describes my drive for success. Every day, I need to
feel that I have accomplished something. I usually start my day with a list and knock it out, item
by item. The list helps me visually see what I have achieved for the day. I often find myself
doing this through the work week and the weekend, even if it is as small as going to the gym or
running a load of laundry. I find myself after a task, being happy it is accomplished, taking a
second to take a breather, and jumping right into the next line item on my list.
Arranger
The second strength is that I am an arranger. In other words, a conductor. This strength
recently came up when I was working on a project with a coworker to develop a new website for
our company. She is a very unorganized person. Moreover, I do not work that way. So, I took
what she had and arranged it in a way that made sense so that we could get the information to the
website developer in a way that he understood and was on time. During this website
development, I often had to change the design based on what the developer could do, which
showed my flexibility in developing a new layout based on the latest guidelines.
