underserved areas. However, the expansion of teletherapy raises critical issues related to privacy,
licensing laws, and ethical boundaries. As policymakers, therapists, and clients navigate this
evolving landscape, it is essential to ensure that online therapy maintains high ethical standards
while remaining effective and secure. This paper explores how technology influences legal and
ethical considerations in behavioral health, focusing on online therapy. By examining issues
related to digital security, therapist-patient boundaries, and accessibility, this paper highlights the
necessity for comprehensive regulations that support ethical and effective teletherapy practices.
