Creating and Managing Equitable and Engaging Learning Environments
Communicating effectively with administration, students, and parents is very important when
being an educator. When educators fail to communicate, this can create a negative narrative and
misunderstanding in their careers. It is important to be able to communicate as an educator
because parents like to be informed daily about their child's behavior and academics
performances in the classroom. In this paper, I will discuss my classroom management
philosophy, classroom expectations in a hybrid environment, how I will advocate for students in
the hybrid learning environment, establishing a safe learning environment for my students, two
, strategies for both physical and digital learning environments that promote communication and
collaboration, and strategies of communication for those in the school community.
Classroom Management Philosophy
In addition, my classroom management philosophy is to have clear and consistent
expectations, building trustworthy relationships, social emotional learning, inclusive and
differentiated instruction, and a safe and comfortable environment. To incorporate these things in
my classroom is by having an adaptive classroom set up that is safe and well organized. My
classroom will ensure to have clear behavioral and academic expectations for scholars. A
positive environment will be enforced so that students will feel comfortable and safe. The
classroom will include a self-reflection station where students can take time to reflect and calm
down their emotions. In addition, positive and negative reinforcements will be implemented in
my classroom. For instance, student will get rewarded with the treasure box for good behavior.
With negative behavior, students will have time off recess, silent lunch, or a phone call home. no
matter what your classroom management philosophy is, remember to be consistent when
executing classroom management rules with your students. Consistency is always key to success
