This portfolio is that of a research tool for communica tions satisfaction among employees in an organization.
The importance of internal communication to drive productivity, transparency and employee engagement
cannot be overstated. The following questionnaire has been designed to measure employees’ perception of
communication on all levels of the organisation: clarity, feedback, openness of communication, and the
overall quality of communication. The results of this study may assist the management to enhance the
internal communication policy and to provide a supportive and informed surrounding at work. This results in
the questionnaire being designed with a Likert scale that provides data that can be quantified and analysed.

Introduction / Description of the idea
It is also an important element of internal organizational communication, which many organizations are
failing to address in a satisfactory manner. The study aims to examine communication satisfaction of
employees at Woolworths South Africa. In this research, we will investigate how the interpersonal
dimensions of communication influence employees’ interpersonal relationships at work, job satisfaction, and
performance. The results will inform recommendations on how to improve internal communication in
Woolworths for increasing employee engagement and work effectiveness.
Context and Background of the Study
South Africa Woolworths SA operates in a fiercely competitive retail market where staff motivation and
contentment are the lifeblood of continued customer service excellence. Woolworths is such a big
organisation, comprising of so many layers of management and hierarchy, I think they have to communicate
between the supervisors to the workers. Levels of satisfaction with communication have been reported to
influence job satisfaction, as well as intention to stay with a current employer and supervisees’
