Identify a possible primary audience of the text: [According to my text “Take a break”, I believe the
primary audience would be younger adults to young middle-aged individuals. These set of individuals
seem to be the most that face stress, because they are at the age where they begin the heavy
workforce/business and take on bigger responsibilities.
Identify other possible audiences for the text: [Other possible audiences would have to be both the
younger and older generation. As technology arises kids in school are to learn more than they should as
for the older people they would have to pick up and adjust to their environment and for most it would
be challenging.]
Explain why both possible audiences (primary and other) are appropriate regarding the genre of the
text: [The genre of my chosen text is non-fiction/self-help. Both possible audiences intervene to the
genre because this is currently happening right now to many individuals in this society and the statistics
prove it every day.]
Explain why both possible audiences (primary and other) are appropriate regarding the writing
situation of the text: [The possible audiences are connected to the writing of the text, because the text
describes these specific individuals with the advancement of technology and the heavy-load workforce.]
Describe how the writer attracts and guides the audience: [The writer attracts the audience with the
title “Take a break” as it is a big indicator that projects to our busy minds. Along the text the writer
states proven statements from studies and experiences that we can all relate to.]
