, QUESTION 2: Technology integration in education
Enhancing Pedagogical Practices through Technology Integration during
Teaching Practice
Introduction
In the 21st century, technology has grown very fast and has become an important part
of many areas of life, including education. These changes in digital technology have
made a big difference in how teachers teach and how learners learn. Today, teachers
and learners use many digital tools like computers, tablets, the internet, and educational
apps in the classroom. These tools help make learning more fun, easier to understand,
and better for different kinds of learners.
For student teachers, who are training to become full-time educators in the future, it is
very important to learn how to use technology in smart and helpful ways. This is known
as technology integration. Technology integration means using digital tools on purpose
and in a regular way during lessons to make teaching and learning better. When student
teachers go on teaching practice, they are expected to show that they know how to use
technology in the classroom. This includes using things like videos, online quizzes,
PowerPoint presentations, or even learning management systems to help learners
understand the work.
Using technology in the classroom can make lessons more interesting. It can also help
teachers teach in new ways that work well for learners who have different learning
styles and needs. For example, some learners understand better when they see
pictures or watch videos, while others like reading or doing hands-on activities.
Technology gives teachers many options to support all these different ways of learning.
