Begin by holding up the selected storybook and asking, "Have you ever heard a story that made
you laugh or think?" Let a few learners briefly share. Show them the cover illustration and ask,
"What do you think this story might be about?"
Briefly explain that today they will listen carefully, watch the pictures, and later become
storytellers themselves!

1. Read the selected story aloud, showing the pictures clearly as you go. Use expressive tone and
gestures to bring the story to life.
2. Pause at key moments to ask prediction questions like, "What do you think will happen next?" or
"Why did the character do that?"
3. After reading, guide the class in recalling the sequence: beginning, middle, end. Write keywords on
the board.
