Explain how strategic human resource planning and recruitment and selection
are used together.
Strategic human resource planning (SHRP) is about looking ahead and making sure the
organisation will have the right number of people, with the right skills, at the right time.
It’s like making sure the team is ready for what’s coming, whether that’s new projects,
changes in the market, or company growth.
Once the organisation knows what kind of people it needs, recruitment and selection
help to find and hire those people. Recruitment is about attracting candidates who are
suitable, while selection is the process of choosing the best ones for the job.
So, these two go hand in hand – SHRP figures out what’s needed, and recruitment and
selection help to meet those needs by bringing in the right people.
