light & signs]
Solid yellow light - ANS-Prepare to stop if you can do so safely. Cross intersection if you cannot
do so safely.
Solid red light - ANS-Stop. You can make a right turn after you stop and yield to pedestrians
and traffic, and only when it is safe. You can't turn if a "No right thurn on Red" sign is posted.
Solid green light - ANS-to go
Green arrow with red light - ANS-May enter intersection and proceed without stopping ONLY in
the direction indicated by the arrow
Green arrow with green light - ANS-Drivers facing a traffic control light with a green arrow and
solid green traffic control light may enter the intersection and proceed without yielding in the
direction indicated by the arrow. Drivers facing the green light may also proceed in the other
directions when it is safe and legal.
Flashing red light - ANS-the same as a stop sign
Flashing yellow light - ANS-slow down and proceed with caution
Flashing green light - ANS-permited to proceed and turn left or right without stopping
Lane reversal signs: Solid red x - ANS-do not enter or remain in lane
Lane reversal signs: Downward pointing green arrow - ANS-permitted to travel though lane
Sign with green circle, white background and square shape - ANS-action or activity withing
cercle is permitted
Regulatory message (ie. speed limit) - ANS-Message on white background and rectangle
shape
Flourecent green/yellow, pentagon - ANS-School zone/area or crosswalk
Provides info (ie. distance) - ANS-white meesage, green background and rectangle shape
