Activity: “My Weekend Story Circle” – Guided Storytelling and Listening
Each learner takes a turn to share a short story about their weekend (real or imagined)
using a simple structure: who, what, where, when. The teacher models the structure
using sentence frames (e.g. “On Saturday, I went to…”, “I was with…”, “We…”). After
each story, 1–2 classmates ask a follow-up question (e.g. “What did you eat?” or “Did
you have fun?”).
Objective:
To develop learners' ability to speak clearly, listen actively, and participate in a
structured oral exchange using appropriate language and sentence structure.
