Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act of 1947, regulates the production,

was passed.

labeling pesticide products. The sale of any pesticide is prohibited in the U.S. unless its is

EPA registers each pesticide product for each approved use.


EPA continues to evaluate the safety of pesticides after they are registered. A pesticide may be
canceled or amended.

What are restricted use pesticides?

particularly if used incorrectly.
FIFRA requires that you must carry the certified applicator license to buy or use.
