Having analysed the needs of your students, you have chosen to plan an exam preparation
class developing speaking and writing. The aims and outcomes reflect this choice of skills. The
parts of the exam to be practised are mentioned.
You have chosen to work with speaking initially and then with writing skills. More time is spent
on the former. The activities planned and the materials sourced provide information about how
to be successful in the exam along with relevant practice.
In the rationale, you explain how the lesson is relevant for these learners as they prepare for
their exam.


For future reference:
Lesson plan: There should be a final stage – either a cooler or lesson review (within the allocated
time.)
Writing skills: Would students write their own answer for homework? The aim for “plan and write
an essay” would not be met in that the students don’t write the essay.
