A1. Moving to a remote work arrangement will directly address the labor shortage. It
provides a more enticing work arrangement, and does not limit our hiring capability to a
geographical qualifier. Working from home allows employees to save money & time on
commuting, and does not require anyone to relocate in order to take a job at Pruhart.
A2. One way we can incorporate job enlargement is by re-allocating the daily schedule
of computer programmers to work on other up-and-coming tech projects on a quarterly
basis. Any programmers who are not ready or not interested in a promotion can have
the opportunity to work on their existing projects for 60% of their day, and may spend
the remaining 40% of their day on new tasks.
Job Analysis Plan
B1. One type of information we’ll need to collect during the job analysis is the senior
programmer’s Reporting Relationships, both above & below. We will need to determine
if they will act in a managerial role, or just as a subject matter expert in the development
projects they lead.
B2. We will utilize archival records to collect information for the job analysis. By using
archival data, we will establish a senior programmer’s historical background and use it
to develop current requirements, schedules, tasks, and responsibilities for the role.
