MY TEACHING PERSPECTIVE
1. As an aspiring teacher, please answer the following questions about teaching based on your
experience. What does teaching mean to you?
To me, teaching means empowering minds, igniting curiosity, and fostering growth. It’s about
guiding students to discover their potential while creating a supportive and inspiring learning
environment. Ultimately, teaching is a lifelong commitment to shaping futures with knowledge,
compassion, and dedication.
2. How would you best describe teaching and what it involves?
Teaching is a dynamic process of facilitating learning through inspiration, guidance, and meaningful
engagement. It involves understanding students' needs, adapting methods to diverse learners, and
fostering critical thinking and creativity. At its core, teaching is about nurturing growth—both
academically and personally—while leaving a lasting, positive impact.
3. How do you see your role as a teacher?
As a teacher, I see myself as a facilitator of knowledge, a mentor who nurtures growth, and a
motivator who inspires curiosity and lifelong learning. My role is to create a supportive environment
where students feel empowered to explore, question, and achieve their potential. Ultimately, I aim to
guide them not just academically, but also in developing confidence, resilience, and values for life.
4. What is your understanding of learning?
Learning is an active, lifelong process of acquiring knowledge, skills, and perspectives through
experience, reflection, and engagement. It involves curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to
adapt and apply understanding in new contexts. True learning empowers individuals to grow, solve
problems, and contribute meaningfully to the world.
5. What do you expect to learn or gain from this process of observation and teaching practice?
Through observation and teaching practice, I hope to refine my instructional strategies, classroom
management skills, and ability to connect with diverse learners. I expect to gain practical insights
into adapting lessons to different learning styles while receiving feedback to grow as an educator.
Most importantly, I aim to develop confidence and authenticity in my teaching philosophy through
hands-on experience.
