dysuria, itching. Symptoms are worse during menstruation when the pH is optimal for
organism's growth; Vulva may be erythematous. Vagina diffusely red; granular;
occasionally with red, raised papules and petechiae ("strawberry" appearance).
Frothy, yellow, green, foul smelling discharge. Vaginal pH >4.5. Microscopic
examination of saline wet mount specimen shows characteristic flagellated cells.
