1. Amoebozoa Cells lack cell walls. Take in food by engulfing it. They move via
amoeboid motion and produce large, lobe-like pseudopodia. Abundant
in freshwater habitats and wet soil. Some are parasitic. Major subgroups
in the lineages are lobose amoebae, cellular slime molds, and
plasmodial slime molds.
2. Excavada "Excavated" feeding groove found on one side of the cell. Some lack
mitocondria, but their ancestors are thought to have had them. Include
free-living, symbiotic, and parasitic species. Are single walled. Most
swim using flagella. Most reproduce asexually. Include parabasalids,
diplomonads, euglenids.
3. Excavada- Habitat- Live in freshwater
Eu- glenids Morphology- Have a unique protein that stittens and support the cell.
Some have a light-sensitive eyespot.
Feeding and Locomotion- Some are autotrophs (photosynthesis), others
are het- erotrophs (engulfs)
D Flagella
4. Plantae Include glaucophyte algae, red algae, green algae, and land plants. All
