improve your instructional practice by promoting both the academic and
non-academic success of all students.
Implementing a professional growth plan will improve my instructional
practice in many ways and promote academic and nonacademic success
in my classroom. By implementing this plan, I can grow as an educator
and stay informed about new opportunities, teaching techniques, and
other professional development opportunities. It will give me the
accountability to set goals for myself, research new concepts, and grow
my role as an educator. I also need to recognize my strengths and
weaknesses and how I can achieve the goals I set for myself.
Implementing a professional growth plan is not just going to improve
my practice but also improve the success of my students.

One nonacademic need I have in my class of third-grade students, all
with an individualized education plan (IEP), is the need to teach social-
emotional skills explicitly and how to self-regulate.
