1 Psychomotoriek
1.1 Ergotherapie
De ergotherapie gaat ervan uit dat de mens een handelend wezen is en dat dit handelen zijn
gezondheid en welzijn beïnvloedt. Handelen gee: betekenis aan elk leven en hee: in die zin
veel therapeu<sche poten<e, handelen kan aanze?en tot verandering. Het menselijk handelen
is niet lineair maar getuigt van interac<e tussen de persoon, de ac<viteit en zijn omgeving.
Door een omgeving te creëren waarin kinderen kunnen bewegen, worden ze ges<muleerd tot
handelen, daardoor kunnen ze par<ciperen
in de maatschappij. Voor kinderen betekent par<cipa<e vaak spel. De ET zoekt een omgeving
waarbij de eenheid tussen de motorische ontwikkeling en het psychisch welbevinden centraal
staat. Dit is het basisconcept van psychomotoriek.
1.2 Psychomotoriek
- Vertrekt van een holis<sche mensvisie waarbij lichaam en geest een eenheid vormen
- Psychomotoriek is niet los te maken van de persoonlijkheid; cogni<eve, emo<onele en
motorische aspecten spelen een rol
- Intelligen<e, mo<va<e, karakter, affec<e, fysiologische rijping en ervaring beïnvloeden
de bewegingen

1.2.1 Psychomotorische therapie

kinderen
Lichamelijkheid en bewegen hebben bewezen dat ze een posi<ef effect hebben op de psyche en
op de ontwikkeling van het denken.

1.2.2 In Vlaanderen
Term psychomotoriek wordt gebruikt als verzamelterm voor de bewegingstherapie bij kinderen
met aandachts-en leerstoornissen en verstandelijke handicap en sensorische handicap.
In GGZ is psychomotoriek een behandelingsvorm voor bewegingsac<viteiten gekaderd binnen
psychotherapie zoals relaxa<etherapie en danstherapie.
