Terms of Apprenticeship - ANSWER--Served before, after, divided, or during
embalming school.
-Apprentice who fails exam may continue for 1 additional 2-year term. However,
apprentices may apply for an extension if:
*Awaiting processing of an application
*Awaiting notification of test results

Apprentices leave of absence - ANSWER-no longer than ONE cumulative year.
Maximum length of apprenticeship - ANSWER-must be completed within 6 years.
This excludes military service.

time basis to receive credit for time, even if he or she is a student in a mortuary

the purpose of meeting the case minimum to one additional supervising embalmer
per registered apprentice, and allow a registered apprentice to serve in any or all of
the licensed funeral establishments requested.
