1. Introduction
Academic integrity is the foundation of ethical conduct in education. As a Human Resource
Development (HRD) student, maintaining integrity is not only important for academic
credibility but also essential for building professional and ethical behaviour aligned with the
South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) standards. This report reflects on
academic integrity and how I intend to uphold it in my studies.
2. Importance of Academic Integrity in HRD (1.1)
Academic integrity is critical for HRD and HRM students because we are expected to
model ethical behaviour in future workplace settings. The SABPP's standard for ethical
conduct highlights the importance of honesty, responsibility, and professional integrity.
