How have you displayed effective followership? - Answer✔I've had the privilege to work
through several leadership changes and I've adapted to each leadership style with respect. I've
learned to own, promote, and explain the decisions of our leaders to junior enlisted airmen.
How have you been an active leader? - Answer✔I've supervised Airman Marshall and trained
several financial management technicians. I have maintained professional relationships on and
off duty, and check in on them often whether they are still here or not. I have always tried to
leave things better than how I found it--and I make sure to pass any info along that I learn to
those around me. I am an in the practice of training others and effective communication to lead
with knowledge and humility.
Where do you see yourself in five years? - Answer✔I see myself with a masters degree and
hopefully master sergeant. I could see myself being a great first sergeant one day as someone
that airmen can feel comfortable coming to and learning from. I know that you never stop
learning and it is exciting to think of wealth of knowledge I can accumulate in the next five
years.
What are your strengths? - Answer✔I am very proud of my drive. No one will work harder than
me, and if they are- I have the humility to own my situation and give myself a wake up call. I'm
constantly challenging myself and I enjoy that.
At the same time, I am very proud of my team oriented mindset. I always leave things better
than the way I found it for the benefit of the team. I believe I've done that here and also in my
civilian job- I walked in with zero continuity or training, and now I'm managing a multi million
dollar budget on my own. My constant desire is to build a strong team of hard workers and I
credit that mentality to the air force and my parents for teaching me this.
Talk about PME - Answer✔I've had the opportunity to go to ALS in residence and that forever
left a mark on me. I learned different leadership styles and that not all people learn the same
and I implemented this knowledge in my career when leading/following. I hope to go to all PME
in residence because I feel like it is important and I don't truly consider the distance learning at
the same level.
