1. Definition of Tourism Governance
Tourism governance refers to the way in which tourism is managed, controlled, and
guided by different stakeholders, including the government, private businesses, and
local communities. It involves making policies, setting regulations, and ensuring that
tourism benefits both visitors and host communities. Good governance in tourism
ensures that tourism is sustainable, contributes to economic growth, protects cultural
heritage, and respects the environment. Without proper governance, tourism can lead to
issues like environmental damage, exploitation of workers, and poor visitor experiences.
2. Role and Priorities of Provincial Governments in Tourism
