1. What is the issue Twain is satirizing?
The issue Twain talks about is that adults should teach children and teens to think
outside the box instead of trying to make them think the same way.
2. What techniques does Twain use to create his satire?
Three techniques I noted were hyperbole, irony, and parody.
3. What is the issue McCullough is satirizing?
mcCullough believes that children today should focus less on what others want from
them and to build their own aspirations and decisions. Basically children and Teens
should be free from unrealistic expectations that push them towards something they
aren't interested in themselves.
4. What techniques does McCullough use to create his satire?
McCullough uses understatments and hyperbolys mostly.
5. How effectively do the techniques used communicate Twain’s position?
The techniques used to express Twain’s point are hyperboles that exaggerating
the point he is trying to make. Hyperboles go allong well with his use of irony
