following key areas:
7651/2
1. Essay Writing:
Structure and Organization: Ensure
clear structure with an introduction, body
paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each
paragraph should focus on one clear point
that supports your argument.
Argumentation: Be prepared to present
and justify your opinions on various topics
such as social issues, culture, or politics.
Use relevant examples and refer to French
society, literature, or historical events.
Coherence and Cohesion: Use
connectors (e.g., d'abord, ensuite,
cependant, en revanche) to create a
logical flow in your essay. This helps to
make your writing clear and easy to follow.
Formal and Informal Registers: Tailor
your language to the task. For formal
essays, use formal language and avoid
colloquial expressions. If responding to a
personal letter or informal prompt, a more
relaxed tone is acceptable.
Word Count: Stick to the word limit
provided. Practice writing concise essays
that stay focused on the prompt.
2. Content and Ideas:
Familiar Topics: Focus on themes such
as the environment, education,
technology, family, health, and French
culture. Be prepared to discuss current
issues and societal changes in France.
Cultural Awareness: Show knowledge of
French culture, history, and current affairs
in your writing. Mentioning French authors,
films, or events can strengthen your
argument and demonstrate cultural
awareness.
Balanced Argument: In some essays,
you may need to present both sides of an
argument before concluding. Practice
writing about both positive and negative
aspects of a topic to show depth in your
analysis.
3. Language Use:
Grammatical Accuracy: Pay attention to
verb tenses (present, past, future, and
conditional), gender agreements, and
correct sentence structures.
Vocabulary Range: Use a variety of
vocabulary, including more advanced
terms where possible. Avoid repeating the
same words and phrases.

ne peuvent pas se passer de la musique dans leur vie quotidienne. D’ailleurs, plus
de 85 % ont constaté qu’ils en dépendent pour surmonter les moments difficiles de
