the use of tenses. Pay attention to word order, sentence structure, and punctuation to write
grammatically correct and natural-sounding sentences.
o Task-Based Writing: Prepare for writing tasks like letters, articles, or reviews by practicing
how to respond appropriately to prompts. Tailor your writing to the style required (e.g., formal
or informal) based on the given task.
o Linking Ideas: Practice using transitional words and phrases to connect ideas and paragraphs

Przeczytaj fragment tekstu na temat popularnej platformy aukcyjnej, napisanego na
podstawie artykułu z polskiego magazynu.
Polski Internet na przełomie millenium miał dwie podstawowe cechy: był zbyt
drogi dla przeciętnego Kowalskiego i mocno się ‘ślimaczył’. Twórcy platformy
Allegro mieli jednak doskonałe wyczucie czasu, bo w kolejnych latach i Internet,
i handel w sieci bardzo się rozwinęły. Dziś serwis ten to lider na polskim rynku
e-handlu z około 20 milionami kupujących i 100 tysiącami sprzedających firm.
Sukces Allegro to nie przypadek. Platforma strzeliła w dziesiątkę, pomagając w
sprzedaży małym przedsiębiorcom, którym byłoby trudniej wystartować na własną
rękę i budując dystrybucję na terenach bez wielkich centrów handlowych czy
sieciowych sklepów.
Pierwszym sprzedanym przedmiotem była kamera USB. Od tego czasu na
wirtualne licytacje trafiło praktycznie wszystko, od produktów popularnych po
unikalne i specjalistyczne.
Gdy pojawili się konkurenci, Allegro rozpoczęło promocję swoich aukcji. Efekt
przerósł oczekiwania – liczba użytkowników platformy wzrosła trzydziestokrotnie.
Jednakże czarne chmury pojawiły się, gdy do Polski wkroczył eBay. Amerykański
gigant nie docenił polskiego konkurenta, nie tłumacząc opisów i nazw niektórych
towarów na język polski. Internauci nie byli zachwyceni. Tymczasem Allegro
oferowało przyjazny w obsłudze interfejs, z prostym systemem płatności oraz
dbało o użytkowników, na przykład zapewniało ubezpieczenie za transakcje do
10 tys. zł. Pomógł też specyficzny polski rynek – Polacy do tej pory podchodzą z
rezerwą do zakupów zagranicznych.
