CPR SKILLS TEST GUIDE QUESTIONS

no breathing - Answer-After checking the scene:
1. Turn on AED
-Follow the voice and/or visual prompts
2. Wipe bare chest dry
3. Attach pads
-Right pad goes on top
-Left pad goes lower
4. Make sure connector is plugged in.
5. Stand clear
-Make sure no one including you is touching the person
-Say "Stand clear"
6. Analyze hearth rhythm
-press analyze button if needed.
7. Deliver shock if needed.

-Press the shock button if needed.
8. Perform CPR
-perform for two minutes (or 5 cycles) of CPR.
CONTROLLING
EXTERNAL BLEEDING - Answer-After checking the scene:
1. Cover the wound with sterile dressing.
2. Apply direct pressure until bleeding stops
3. Cover the dressing with bandage
4. Apply more pressure and call 911.
BURNS - Answer-After checking the scene:
1. Remove from source of burn.
2. Cool the burn with cold running water at least until pain is relieved.
3. Cover loosely with sterile dressings
4. Call 911
5. Care for shock
POISONING - Answer-After checking the scene:
1. Call 911 or poison control hotline
