ENG1504
Due date:18 march 2025
MINUTES OF THE MEETING
AGENDA ITEM 2.1: STRATEGIES TO RETURN THE SAN PACKETT RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TO
ITS ORIGINAL STATE
The Chair, Mr. Donaldson, introduced the agenda item and emphasized the need to discuss
strategies to restore the property to its original state.
Ms. Louisa suggested that the meeting focus on finding solutions rather than placing
blame. She encouraged the attendees to think about new strategies for raising funds,
managing the property, and changing the status quo.
Dr. Farai proposed applying for a bank loan to refurbish the property, suggesting a loan
amount of R2 million. However, Mr. Phenyo expressed concerns about the monthly
repayment amount and suggested hiring a contractor to inspect the damages and provide a
quotation for the necessary repairs.
Ms. Louisa offered to pay for the contractor’s call-out fee, and Gen. Sithole suggested
contacting Mr. Sadiki’s company, which has a reputation for completing projects on time.
The attendees agreed to hire a suitable contractor and request a quotation within three
weeks. Once the quotation is received, Ms. Louisa will approach the banks to apply for a
loan. The refurbishment process will commence once the loan is approved.
