- 2nd Amendment - -Right to keep and bear arms

- 3rd Amendment - -No quartering of soldiers without consent of the owner

- 4th Amendment - -Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets
out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause

- 5th Amendment - -right to grand jury, indictment, no double jeopardy,
freedom from self-incrimination, due process of law

- 6th Amendment - -Criminal Proceedings:right to a speedy, impartial public
trial in criminal cases with counsel and right to cross examine

- 7th Amendment - -right to jury trial in civil suits involving $20.00 or more.

- 8th Amendment - -Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines
imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

- 9th Amendment - -rights not mentioned in the constitution belong to the
people

- 10th Amendment - -The powers not delegated to the United States by the
Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States
respectively, or to the people.

- 11th Amendment - -Prohibits citizens of one state or foreign country from
suing another state.

- 12th Amendment - -The seperation of the president and vice president
onto two different ballots (brought on by the Jefferson/Burr tie)

- 13th Amendment - -Abolished slavery - this amendment freed all slaves
without compensation to the slaveowners. It legally forbade slavery in the
United States.

- 14th Amendment - -Declared that all persons born or naturalized in the
United States were entitled equal rights regardless of their race, and that
their rights were protected at both the state and national levels.
