wanting to capture Manchuria which was also wanted by Japanese.
Another key feature of the Russo-Japanese war is that the Russians were defeated by
the Japanese suffering a huge humiliation and dreadful consequences.
Bloody Sunday
One key feature of bloody Sunday is that it was caused because of the dissatisfaction
of the workers and their feeling of impoverishment and oppression deciding to protest with
peaceful intentions.
Another key feature of bloody Sunday is that this peaceful intended protest ended up
into a massacre
The Potemkin mutiny
One key feature of the Potemkin mutiny is that it was caused because of how badly
the sailors were treated.

October Manifesto
One feature of the October Manifesto was that it enabled the Tsar to survive the
revolution of 1905.
Another feature of the October Manifesto was the fact that the reforms were very
limited and did not amount to the revolution which many people hoped for.
Stolypin’s policy of repression
One key feature of Stolypin’s policy of repression is that it was caused by the
perseverance of the peasants and workers who continued the strikes, mutinies and riots even
after the October manifesto was published.
Another key feature of Stolypin’s policy of repression is that it almost cancelled
everything offered by the Tsar in the publication of the October manifesto.
The Dumas 1906-1917
One key feature of the dumas in 1906-1917 is that the first and second dumas were
dissolved by the tsar in very early stages
Another key feature of the dumas is that the elections for the third and fourth dumas
were altered by Stolypin.
Stolypin’s land reforms
One key feature of Stolypin’s land reforms is that it was his attempt to provide a
solution for the peasant unrest that continued as the peasants still burnt down landlords’
houses and demanded more land something that neither Stolypin’s nor the landlords wanted
to give
Another key feature of Stolypin’s land reform is that his plan was not successful.
