Background: As mentioned in Topic 1, conducting research can be overwhelming! Throughout
this course and throughout your entire academic career, you will be asked to read, evaluate,
synthesize, and present information to demonstrate your understanding of the content, justify
your answers, and to speak authoritatively on issues that may differ from your personal beliefs.
The study of psychology requires the ability to maintain neutrality and uphold the ethics and
standards set forth for interacting and learning within an academic setting.
Goal: To build upon skills in Topics 1 and 2 support the development of research skills.
Directions: Use the GCU library to locate an article on one of the following developmental
stages: Prenatal, Infancy, Childhood, Adolescence, Early Adulthood, Adulthood, or Aging
Adulthood. Address the components below within your assignment. Use the resources below to
