Ethical Recommendations of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence ethics is a set of moral guidelines and methods meant to guide the
creation and ethical application of AI technology. The implementation of ethics is essential for AI
systems for several reasons, including to create friendly AI systems that will adopt our ethical
standards, to tackle any bias-related problems, to eliminate existential hazards for humanity, and
to promote the welfare of humanity.
Ethical Dilemma One: Replacing of Human Aspect of Decision-Making
Many businesses and governments have abandoned the decision-making process in favor
of AI because they are so confident in it. With this growing trend, there are worries that decision-
making will lose the crucial human emotional component because machines are likely to make
poor choices because they only use logic, and because their reasoning will be so advanced that it
may find some human actions illogical, they may ultimately decide to wipe out humanity. The
robots will be so evolved by then that it will be challenging to kill them.
Ethical Dilemma Two: Market Manipulation
The usage and development of advanced AI in financial markets has raised ethical
questions concerning the potential for market manipulation to the detriment of other market
participants (Antona, Margherita. editor., 2017) . Even individuals in charge of making sure they
operate properly may take advantage of the flaws that they are highly familiar with to the
detriment of other market participants. The possibility for prejudice in the algorithms that enable
AI in marketing raises another ethical problem. AI systems can only learn from data that is as
neutral as the data itself, therefore if the data is biased or slanted in any manner, the AI will
reflect that prejudice.
