Blind People vs. the World: How We Can Do Well in Computer Science
Introduction
Imagine you are in Mountain View, California and you are working for Google. It is also
your first day on the job, and you are blind. That is the case for me as I am blind, and I want to
be able to work for Google one day as a programmer making websites usable for the blind. As a
person with a disability, I understand that there can be many struggles for me and many others,
especially for those who are studying Computer Science. Like many of those who are jumping
into this field of study and learning how to write code and make programs, the people with
disabilities, including those who are blind, are left stranded and have limited access to material in
and out of the classroom. Three challenges that people with disabilities face when going into this
as field as opposed to people who don’t include education, job growth, and advancement in this
field.
Body Paragraph 1
To begin with, education in the field has left many people with disabilities asking questions as
access to material may be easy to b obtain for some, harder for others.
Body Paragraph 2
