i. A limited understanding of the company and employee would need training
ii. Time consuming as you select the perfect candidate and induct them.

Below are five tests that Alfred and Bortumelo could utilize in selecting their candidates
i. Personality Tests
, These tests would help assess and predict the conduct that a candidate would
probably engage in hence choosing the candidate who is ideal to the company’s
needs.
ii. Talent Assessment tests
These tests are conducted to predict the probable performance and retain ability of
a candidate as they focus on scrutinizing the skills and ability of a candidate.
Alfred and Bortumelo would then choose the candidate ideal to their needs.
iii. Cognitive Test
These tests measure the memory, reasoning capacity, accuracy, arithmetic and
language fluency and reading capacity of a client. This would help the two
company owners to choose a candidate who can communicate with many clients
fluently, be able to account for all the money used and to make wise decisions
when making purchases and delivery to avoid loss.
iv. Physical Ability Tests
These are very necessary in identifying the physical health state of an employee,
strength and stamina which helps understand one’s ability to handle pressure
without compromising their health.
v. Drug tests
These are important as they show the presence of drugs or alcohol in the system.
Drug tests determine if the employee has been using certain chemicals in recent
weeks.

The employment equity act (No55 of 1998) seeks to attain equity in workplaces through
providing fair treatment and equal opportunities to all employees and getting rid of
discrimination to designated groups like women and disabled people.

The purpose of the Unemployment Insurance Act of 2001 is basically to make sure the Funds of
Employment benefits all employees who deserve the funds such as those who are ill, are in
martenity and benefits to a dependent due to the unemployment of such an employee.
