HISTORY
The Romans discovered how to make glass in the 1st century B.C. and since
then, things have changed for the better
ZACHARIAS JANSSEN was a spectacle maker from Holland who lived in the
early 1600’s. He is famous for the first compound microscope and the first
telescope.
COMPOUND MICROSCOPE
are built using a compound lens system where the primary magnification is
provided by the objective lens, which is then compounded (multiplied) by the
ocular lens (eyepiece).
DISCOVERY OF THE CELL
The discovery of the cell was made through the invention of the microscope
between 1665-1858.
The observations made possible by microscopes led to the formulation of cell
theory in the 19th century by various scientists.
