Agreement - ✔️✔️Help Center Agreements in IPPS-A represent an agreed upon level
of service that an organization provides to its employees. Service Level Agreements
(SLA) define the response and restore times that the Help Center will try to meet while
responding to requests for service from employees.
Approval Chain - ✔️✔️A defined path of Approvers, Reviewers, Intermediate
Approvers, or Alternate Approvers (where needed).
A UIC or organizational element in an organization hierarchy - ✔️✔️A node on the
Department Security Tree represents a department in IPPS-A
Accommodations - ✔️✔️Special considerations required at a training facility such as
wheelchair access.
Active Status Change - Duty - ✔️✔️The process of placing a Reserve Component
Member on Active Duty Status in order to draw full pay (i.e., School, TDY).
Active Analytic's' Framework - ✔️✔️Provides for the automation of enrollments and
registrations within the ELM system based on activity originating in IPPS-A. As
Members are added to IPPS-A they are automatically enrolled in NET training so they
gain access to additional system online services.
Ad hoc - ✔️✔️Activity done only because a situation has made it necessary and it is
not planned in advance.
% - ✔️✔️used as a wildcard when searching for queries. An example of this is
%DUTY%, used in a search, would retrieve all queries with DUTY in the name like
(NG_DUTY_STATUS).
360-Degree View - ✔️✔️IPPS-A CRM functionality which allows Support Service
personnel to view a summary of recent HR Help Desk activities and provides ticket and
Personal Profile information for the requester.
Ad Hoc Notifications - ✔️✔️Email notifications sent to students about classes or
programs.
Ad Hoc Routing Save As - ✔️✔️Allows the user to create a library of predefined
workflow routing templates to be attached to any action.

Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) - ✔️✔️Peoplesoft delivered process that provides
capabilities for creating, running, and managing approval processes within IPPS-A.
Approvals - ✔️✔️Validation from a Manager or Administrator for a user to enroll in
specific IPPS-A training programs.
Approver - ✔️✔️A User gives the authority to approve transactions and submits them
to the next level of approval authority, a Reviewer or ad hoc. Approvers have the ability
to approve, deny with comments, or recycle
ASC - ✔️✔️Assignment Complete
Attendance Scheme - ✔️✔️Lists the values that can be used to mark attendance.
Attendance scheme values are the values that appear on the Learners' Self-Service
pages. Each attendance value is associated with a status which can affect a Learner's
enrollment status. The attendance scheme includes labels for Attended, Not Attended,
and Unknown only. A new label called "very late" can be added and give it the status of
Attended. Attended can be changes to present. Each status must be represented at
least once in the scheme.
Auto Drop Status Options - ✔️✔️An auto drop status option in the Enterprise Learning
Management System that allows Learners to drop a course or class in which they are
registered.
Automated Notifications - ✔️✔️System generated notifications to Members to related to
IPPS-A training activities.
Batch Process - ✔️✔️A process using ELM Process Scheduler, such as Mass
Enrollment, are executed and the database is updated via a job that is run in the
background either on demand or at a specific time in the future.
Business Intelligence Analytics (BIA) - ✔️✔️A comprehensive business intelligence
and analytics platform that delivers dashboards, ad hoc queries, mobile analytics,
notifications and alerts, and enterprise reporting capabilities.
Business Unit (BU) - ✔️✔️A logical organization of data for reporting purposes. There
are currently 57 Business Units defined for IPPS-A across the three components: US
Army Active, US Army Reserve, and Army National Guard. In the Army National Guard
there are 55 Business Units.
