sounds challenging and honestly I can see why most find it undesirable, but I always
, wanted to work in a position that helped the public. Law enforcement just seemed like
the perfect niche for what I wanted out of a career.
How do you exercise good judgement? - Answers -Good judgement by definition should
be objective. I try to remove personal opinion from the equation and thing about what
the conflict is and which course of action would best benefit the team to achieve our
goal.
How to respond under stress? - Answers -my senses become heightened and my mind
clears during periods of high stress. I become hyper aware of my surroundings.
How do you problem solve? - Answers -First I asses the situation, consider the
resources at my disposal and the potential for conflicts, and then I act quickly and
constantly reassess the situation as it evolves.
When have you shown initiative at work? - Answers -I asses the safety of the work floor
and take charge of repairing hazardous work areas.
What have you done to prepare yourself for the position? - Answers -education, I have
been dieting and exercising regularly to physically prepare, researching about the
department and opportunities for me upon employment, and having a job currently
serving the public.
What will be the most challenging aspect in becoming a deputy? - Answers -I am not as
fluent in Spanish as I previously have been. and I feel that would be an area of
improvement for me in order to best serve as a Sheriff's deputy.

work I am presented with the opportunity to commit fraud, be unethical, or cut corners.
There are safeguards against this, but ultimately it is up to me to be honest every
moment that I am in a position of public trust. I have found money loose in the
mailstream that nobody would have noticed if I took, but I reported it and turned it in to a
supervisor. Or items that I actively wanted to purchase that were loose in the mail, but
instead of giving in to temptation, sending the items to our merchandise reclamation
center.
When have you excelled at multi -tasking? - Answers -Part of the understanding of my
job description when I got hired at the post office was that there is a strict chain of
command. I was told I had to be willing to follow orders, even if another superior gave
me an order that contradicted what I was doing or what I was previously told. I had to
adapt and roll with scenarios that would constantly change. Often times being assigned
multiple tasks simultaneously that I was responsible for. I had to vocalize if I felt I
couldn't do it on my own because if any of my tasks didn't get completed I would solely
be held accountable.
