CMTO Assessment - Special Tests
eyes open at all mes, head off table - side bend and rotate to the same side held for 10-15s
(spurlings, jacksons, vertebral artery, adson's) - vertebral artery
hold breath and swallow to see if there is a reproduc on or spinal pain
(hauntants, valsalva, swallowing test, halstead) - swallowing test
seat, shoulders flexed to 90 and supinated, close eyes and the therapist brings head into ext and rota on
for 10-30s
(hauntants, wright, impingement, posterior apprehension) - hauntants
client ext, side bent and rotate head to affected side, therapist applies a compression down
(spurlings, max cervical compression, jacksons, cervical compression) - max cervical compression
head is rotated and a compression is applied down
(spurlings, max cervical compression, jacksons, cervical compression) - jackson's
head stays neutral with compression down

therapist hands around mastoid process and li up
