Explain how provision of adequate carbohydrates will help prevent ketosis: -
ANSWER Carbs are the first thing your body uses for energy, the carbs are
converted to glucose for your body to use. If your body does not have adequate
carbs it will start to break to protein and fat for energy which results in ketosis.
Ketosis- elevated ketones (waste products passed in urine)


List 3 sources of fiber: - ANSWER Oat bran, cheerios, legumes, fruits, veggies


Proteins - ANSWER - tissue growth and repair, acid-base balance, antibodies,
provide energy, transport lipids, vitamins, minerals, and oxygen, make up DNA and
RNA, ingested and then broken down into amino acids
