Medicaid preventive health program for children under 21.
End-stage renal disease (ESRD) - answer-Chronic, irreversible kidney disease
requiring regular treatments.
HCPCS Level II Modifier - answer-A two-character alphabetic or alphanumeric
code that may be appended to a code from the main portion of the CPT book or a
code from the HCPCS Level II book.
Liters per minute (LPM) - answer-The measurement of how many liters of a drug
or chemical are provided to the patient in 60 seconds.
Locum tenens physician - answer-A physician who fills in, temporarily, for
another physician.
Modifier - answer-A two-character code that affects the meaning of another code;
a code addendum that provides more meaning to the original code.
