Privileges and limitations - Answers CFR 61.113 -
Privileges -
- may act as PIC of a charitable, nonprofit, or community event
, - may be reimbursed provided the expenses involve only fuel, oil, airport expenditures, or rentals fees
under the direction of local, state, or federal agency, or an organization that conducts search and
location operations
- may act as PIC to demonstrate an aircraft as a salesman (200 hr required)
- may act as PIC towing a glider or unpowered ultralight vehicle
- may act as PIC for the purpose of conducting a production flight test inn light sport aircraft
- can fly into all Bravo airspace
- act as PIC weighing less than 12,500 (single engine)
Limitations -
- may not pay less than the pro rata share of operating expenses (fuel, oil, rental fees, airport
expenditures)
- may not act as PIC of an aircraft that is carrying passengers or property for compensation or hire
- Can't fly in class A airspace
- Can't fly in IFR conditions
